Correct Use Steps and Methods of Clamp-on Ultrasonic Flowmeter

Industry generally refers to the instrument for measuring fluid flow as flowmeter. Among them, the external clamp-on ultrasonic flowmeter is one of the important instruments in industrial measurement. With the development of industry, the accuracy and range of flow measurement are required. In order to adapt to different uses, various flowmeters emerge one after another, and have been widely used in oil and gas, petrochemical, water treatment, food and beverage, medicine, energy, metallurgy, paper making, building materials and other industries.

The external clamp ultrasonic flowmeter uses the propagation law of ultrasonic waves in the air to measure the liquid level height, and continuously transmits the liquid level information to the upper computer, and the upper computer automatically measures the instantaneous flow and accumulated flow through the calculation system and stores them. The instrument adopts advanced technology, completes flow detection without contacting with fluid, and has perfect functions of liquid level measurement, control, data transmission and man-machine communication.

The correct use of external clamp ultrasonic flowmeter is as follows:

1. press the on key to turn on the flowmeter power supply, and press the off key to turn off the flowmeter power supply.

2. After the flowmeter is turned on, first run the self-diagnosis program, test the software and hardware, and display the corresponding error message if there is any fault.

Under normal circumstances, no error message will be displayed, and the flowmeter will directly enter the commonly used window No.01 (M01 for short) to display the flow rate, instantaneous flow rate, positive cumulative flow value, signal strength, signal goodness, etc. The flowmeter will work according to the input pipeline parameters or initial setting parameters before the last power cut.

3. The measuring process of the flowmeter is always carried out in the background of using the interface, which means that the flow measurement will not stop because the user wants to browse the window, and the flowmeter will work according to the new parameters only if the user changes the parameters through the new pipeline measurement. When new parameters are input or power is turned on, the flowmeter will adjust the amplifier gain through signals. Through this step, the flowmeter will find a better wave receiving working state. The user will see a process prompt with numbers 1, 2 and 3 in the lower right corner of the LCD screen.

4. When the user adjusts the installed sensor, the flowmeter will automatically adjust the signal.

5. All input parameters will be recorded until they are changed.

6. No matter which window is displayed by the external clamp ultrasonic flowmeter, flow measurement and accumulation will continue.
